KUALA NERUS -Seorang nelayan laut dalam berputih mata apabila bot bernilai RM450, 000 miliknya hilang dipercayai dilarikan penjaga bot Isnin lalu.
Kejadian malang itu berlaku ketika mangsa, Wan Mustafa Wan Ahmad, dari Pulau Duyong, di sini, meninggalkan bot kelas C berkenaan di bawah jagaan seorang warga Thailand di salah sebuah pangkalan di Tok Bali, Kelantan.
Menurut Wan Mustaffa, bot yang baharu dibelinya kira-kira dua bulan lalu terpaksa ditinggalkan di pangkalan berkenaan sementara menanti kelulusan lesen daripada pihak berkuasa.
"Sebelum ini saya pernah beberapa kali meninggalkan bot di Tok Bali tetapi di pangkalan serta menggunakan khidmat orang lain.
"Saya mempercayai lelaki itu selepas mendapatkan cadangan daripada kawan-kawan yang pernah menggunakan khidmatnya sebelum ini. Tetapi tidak sangka pula bot akhirnya lesap bersama penjaga yang diupah,"katanya ketika ditemui semalam.
Kata lelaki berusia 62 tahun itu lagi, dia sama sekali tidak menyangka bot miliknya itu akhirnya lesap bersama penjaga yang diupah.
"Saya percaya bot berkenaan telah dilarikan dan di bawa keluar dari perairan negara sebaik saya meninggalkan bot di pangkalan itu ketika pulang ke kampung di Pulau Duyong.
"Kini saya bukan sahaja menanggung kerugian hampir setengah juta tetapi juga hilang punca pendapatan kerana tiada lagi bot untuk keluar mencari rezeki,"katanya yang lebih 40 tahun mengusahakan bot laut dalam.
Jelas Wan Mustafa lagi, dia juga turut membuat laporan di Balai Polis Tok Bali sebaik menyedari bot itu hilang Isnin lalu selain menghubungi semua rakan untuk memantau sekiranya pernah menjumpai bot berkenaan di lautan.
