KOTA BHARU: Perusahaan Nasi Kak Wook yang cukup terkenal di negeri memberi amaran untuk mengambil tindakan undang-undang terhadap mana-mana pihak yang menggunakan jenama itu tanpa kebenaran.
Meskipun sudah membuat pendaftaran cap dagangan dan memiliki hak eksklusif dengan Perbadanan Harta Intelek Malaysia (MyIPO) lima tahun lalu, Nasi Kak Wook tetap menjadi mangsa pihak tidak bertanggungjawab yang menciplak jenama itu bagi mengaut keuntungan mudah.
Perniagaan nasi campur yang mula bertapak lebih 30 tahun lalu itu memiliki nama kukuh di negeri ini, menyebabkan ramai yang menciplak dan mengguna pakai jenama itu.
Pewaris perniagaan, Mastura Ibrahim, 46, yang juga anak kepada Allahyarham Wook Hassan, berkata jenama Nasi Kak Wook, sudah diciplak oleh pihak tidak bertanggungjawab sehingga boleh didapati di seluruh negeri ini, malah turut menular ke Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor.
"Saya menafikan sekeras-kerasnya bahawa selain enam cawangan Nasi Kak Wook di sekitar Kota Bharu, kami tidak membuka sebarang cawangan lain termasuk banyak dibuka di Kuala Lumpur.
"Namun ramai yang menganggap ia adalah perusahaan yang sama (yang dimiliki pewaris) dan ada pihak yang membuat aduan kepada pihak berwajib supaya mengarahkan kami membayar Cukai Barang dan Perkhidmatan (GST) kerana kononnya kami memiliki puluhan cawangan seperti yang didakwa.
"Akibatnya saya dihubungi pihak berkuasa dan terpaksa beberapa kali ke pejabat kerajaan untuk menerangkan dan menunjukkan bukti bahawa hanya enam saja cawangan Nasi Kak Wook yang asal dan yang selain itu adalah tiruan dengan menggunakan jenama warisan arwah ibu saya," katanya ketika membuat sidang media di cawangan kedai itu di Jalan Telipot di sini, hari ini.
Selain Jalan Telipot, cawangan Nasi Kak Wook terletak di Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra, Bandar Baru Kubang Kerian, Pasir Hor, Bandar Satelit Pasir Tumboh dan Taman Sari.
Mastura yang juga anak keempat dari lima beradik itu berkata, lebih mengusutkan keadaan ada pihak yang cuba mengambil kesempatan dengan menjalankan aktiviti berhutang dan menyamar sebagai pemilik Nasi Kak Wook, sekaligus mencalarkan imej perusahaan itu.
Sementara itu, peguam Zahari Affendi Abdul Kadir yang mewakili perusahaan Nasi Kak Wook, berkata setakat ini pihaknya sudah menjalankan tindakan undang-undang dengan mengeluarkan notis amaran bagi menghentikan penggunaan jenama itu kepada 10 premis di Kuala Lumpur dan hanya satu saja yang akur, manakala selebihnya masih meneruskan perniagaan seperti biasa.
"Kami sudah mengadakan perbincangan dan pewaris menetapkan tempoh tiga bulan dari sekarang kepada peniaga yang menggunakan jenama terbabit atau seakan-akannya supaya menukar jenama bagi mengelakkan tindakan undang-undang diambil ke atas mereka," katanya.
